CONVIVIUM BY ARCLINEA, DESIGN ANTONIO CITTERIO, WINS ELLE DECO INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARDS 2019

During the ceremony that took place on Thursday April 11th 2019 at the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan, Convivium by Arclinea, design Antonio Citterio, has received the prestigious EDIDA (Elle Deco International Design Awards) 2019.

Arclinea and Citterio had the innovative idea of opening the magical place dedicated to food preparation up for maximum conviviality and the Convivium project led to a logical design conclusion. Convivium, over time, has become a cult and continues to make life in the kitchen unique: where socialising opens up to include cooking and vice versa, in a continual interlacing of relationships. An open living space, a kitchen as an organised area, where solutions are the outcome of their location and where the table becomes the focal element of the room. The main player in this innovative project is the convivial island, with 20 cm thick worktop that integrates the big wooden table, for food preparation, cooking and eating.
